Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and which ones youexpats.com uses, in line with the GDPR and Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be “first-party” (set by this site) or “third-party” (set by external services), and “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent”.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required):
- Technical/security cookies: our hosting and security layer (Raiola Networks / web application firewall) may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against abuse and ensure it works correctly.
- Administration session cookie: used only in the private admin area (
/admin) for site managers; not used for public visitors.
Analytics cookies — only with your consent:
- Google Analytics (GA4): if you accept analytics in our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g.
_ga,_ga_*) to measure traffic and how visitors use the site, in aggregate. These cookies last up to 2 years. We do not load Google Analytics unless you accept; if you reject, no analytics cookies are set.
We also load web fonts from Google Fonts; this does not set cookies but may involve your IP address being processed to deliver the fonts.
3. Managing your consent
Analytics cookies are loaded only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the yex-cookie-consent entry in your browser storage (or your cookies) — the banner will appear again on your next visit. Rejecting keeps the site fully functional with strictly necessary cookies only.
4. How to manage cookies
You can allow, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are help pages for the most common browsers:
